Process

The first step is to discern if God is calling you to the life vocation of Religious Life. To learn more about this press the circle tab for “Discerning God’s Will”.

If a single Catholic woman believes that God is calling her to a Religious vocation then one needs to learn about and explore various Religious Congregations. Looking them up on the websites, asking local clergy and attending vocation weekends at Religious Congregations are all good steps. In this process you are striving to get to know the Religious Congregations and “checking them out” through visiting them and getting to know the Sisters, their Charism, and ministries.

Once you feel that you might be interested in a certain Religious Congregation you meet, stays, visits, and prays with that Congregation. This part of the process is a mutual getting to know one another.
- You would then make a formal request to become a Sister in a particular religious congregration.
